Nylon 6 (estruso)

It is a widely used thermoplastic, widely used in the construction of machine parts. Hardness, toughness, lightness, high impact resistance even at low temperatures, low friction coefficient, high attenuation power, make it preferred in many uses in the various sectors of the mechanical industry. The hygroscopicity of this material, which varies from 3.5% (with relative humidity of 65%) to 10% (with 100% humidity), must be taken into consideration when establishing the dimensions of the pieces. It has good dielectric characteristics and excellent chemical resistance to organic and inorganic components; less good with acids. It can be used for: gears, pinions, bearings, bushings, discs, cams, guide profiles, threaded rods, wheels for funiculars, etc …, without particular maintenance needs.
